3 PhD defences on AM in October

During the October 2021 the first PhD dissertations at Uppsala university with AM-related research will be held. The three PhD theses stem from AM-research at the Department of Physics & Astronomy, and the Department of Chemistry - Ångström laboratory.
- Additive manufacturing of ferritic materials - A journey from stainless steels to high-entropy alloys, by Dennis Karlsson will be defended on October 15th.The research has been conducted as a part of the SSF-funded project "Development of processes and materials", and has been conducted at the Inorganic research programme at the Department of Chemistry - Ångström laboratory. - Processing-structure-properties relationship in metal additive manufacturing, by Victor Pacheco will be defended on October 22nd. Victor has been a part of the Swedness research school, and the research and has been conducted at the Inorganic research programme at the Department of Chemistry - Ångström laboratory. - Tailoring structure and morphology during additive manufacturing of metallic components, by Jithin James Marattukalam will be defended on October 29th. The research has been conducted as a part of the SSF-funded project "Development of processes and materials", and has been conducted at the division of Materials Physics at the department of Physics and Astronomy. The public defence will be at the Ångström laboratory (Polhemsalen) at 13.15 on the 29th.
